Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference Transmission & Distribution World, May 1, 2004
The Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC) is an annual meeting of fleet managers from investor-owned utility companies. Utility companies from across the United States are represented, as well as approximately 60 manufacturers and service providers. Representatives from industry publications also attend. Conference activities include a drive-through equipment demonstration and equipment display, as well as an agenda of speakers and sessions on industry issues. The conference takes place each June at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, Virginia, U.S. The EUFMC will hold its 51st annual conference June 20-23, 2004. The objective of the conference is the dissemination of information pertaining to the procurement, application, operation and maintenance of equipment used by electric utilities. The meeting provides a forum where utility fleet managers can exchange information and discuss mutual problems. The conference promotes close cooperation between manufacturers, suppliers and fleet managers engaged in the development and design of vehicles and equipment associated with the electric utility industry. Fleet managers of investor-owned utilities are welcome to call the conference president listed on page 57 for registration information. Manufacturers and service providers attend and exhibit at the conference by invitation only. Requests for new manufacturer and service provider invitations are considered at the board of directors meeting each October as spaces become available. To be considered for an invitation to the next conference, please send a letter of introduction and product information to Kevin A.
